About the pastor

Shannon is originally from the Hill Country of Texas.  He surrendered to God’s call to ministry at the age of 16 and has never looked back. After graduating high school in Brady, TX, he attended the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas and served a rural congregation 20 minutes away. Upon graduation, he moved to Fort Worth, TX where he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology.  While there he participated in two church planting endeavors and served with the North American Mission Board to recruit and deploy church planters in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to this, Shannon has served churches in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Florida, and Texas.
His passion is shepherding the local church, counseling with Scripture, proclaiming Christ to the lost, and discipling God’s people.  Shannon believes that Scripture, through the power of the Holy Spirit, is truly sufficient for everything pertaining to life and godliness.  This drives him to proclaim the Scripture boldly, allowing the Holy Spirit to do His work.
Shannon is a Volunteer Fireman and Certified Fire Chaplain.  He is currently a candidate for the Texas Line of Duty Death Taskforce for first responders and their families who experience a line of duty death of a loved one. Additionally, he is completing the process to become a nationally certified EMT, all from a desire to serve the community where God has placed him and his family.
